About
The Bundelkhand University Department of Geology offers a scholarship for Indian postgraduate students pursuing research in geology. This scholarship supports a Department of Science and Technology (DST) research project titled 'Geochemical and Palaeomagnetic studies of mafic dykes from Bundelkhand and Bastar cratons, central India: implication for lithospheric evolution and Meso-Palaeo Proterozoic Palaeocontinental reconstruction'. The project focuses on studying mafic dykes in central India to understand lithospheric evolution and ancient continental reconstructions. Selected candidates will work on field investigations, geochemical analyses, and palaeomagnetic measurements as part of the research team.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold an M.Sc. degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized Indian university. Preference is given to candidates with prior experience in studying Precambrian mafic dykes or those who have qualified NET or GATE examinations. The scholarship is open to Indian nationals without any income or marks-based restrictions. Candidates with prior research exposure in relevant geological domains will be prioritized.
How to apply
Interested candidates should prepare a detailed application including academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, and certificates of NET/GATE qualification or prior research experience. Submit the application to the Department of Geology, Bundelkhand University, as per the instructions provided on the official page. Ensure all documents are attested and reach the department before the deadline specified on the official page. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further evaluation.
