About
The ICSSR-Award of Doctoral Fellowships 2004-2005 supports Indian students pursuing doctoral research in social sciences. This government scholarship is open to candidates across all recognized disciplines under the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The fellowship aims to promote advanced research in fields such as Economics, Commerce, Education, Management, Psychology, Political Science, and Sociology. It provides financial assistance to selected candidates to facilitate their research work during the doctoral program.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Indian nationals enrolled in or intending to pursue a doctoral program in social sciences. Candidates from all categories—General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD—are eligible. There is no upper age limit specified. Applicants should have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade). Preference may be given to candidates who have qualified national-level entrance examinations for PhD programs.
How to apply
Interested candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format as outlined by ICSSR. The application should include a research proposal, academic transcripts, and a statement of purpose. Applications are typically invited through an official notification on the ICSSR website. Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview or presentation. Ensure all documents are attested and submitted before the deadline mentioned in the official call for applications.
