About
The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance exam for students seeking admission to MBA and allied programmes in over 600 business schools across India. Administered since 1988, MAT is approved by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, and is widely recognized by both national and international B-Schools as a valid admission criterion. The test serves as a standardized screening tool for postgraduate management programmes, helping candidates secure seats in diverse management institutions.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. There is no age limit or minimum marks requirement specified for MAT. The exam is open to all categories, including General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD candidates. Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
How to apply
Register online through the official MAT website by filling in personal, academic, and contact details. Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and signature as per specifications. Pay the application fee using a debit/credit card or net banking. After submission, download and print the confirmation page for future reference. Ensure all details are accurate to avoid discrepancies during the exam or admission process.
