About
The NEW VARDHAMAN EDUCATIONAL TRUST SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME provides financial support to students of the Jain community studying in Maharashtra from Class 1 up to the college degree level. Administered by the NEW VARDHAMAN EDUCATIONAL TRUST, the scholarship amount is disbursed directly to the educational institution, typically covering only tuition fees. The scheme does not extend to donations, admission fees, security deposits, development fees, transportation, private coaching, books, or stationery. Payments may be released in quarterly installments if required by the institution.
Eligibility
Applicants must belong to the Jain community and be enrolled in a recognized school or college in Maharashtra from Class 1 to the undergraduate level. The scholarship is open to all income groups within the Jain community. Eligibility is determined at the start of the academic year; if a student meets criteria at the beginning but fails later, support continues for that year.
How to apply
Students must submit their application through the institution they are enrolled in. The institution will verify eligibility and forward the application to the NEW VARDHAMAN EDUCATIONAL TRUST. Required documents typically include proof of Jain community membership, admission letter, fee receipt, and income certificate (if applicable). The official page provides the current application format and submission guidelines.
