Terms of service

These terms are a contract between you and ExamIdea ("we", "us") covering the website, the mobile app and every service reached through them: practice tests and mock exams, passes, the exam and scholarship directory, cashback and referral rewards, the wallet, and coaching.

By creating an account, taking a test, buying a pass or using the app you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Some features have extra rules shown at the point you use them, for example the fee and cashback terms on a commission exam or the schedule of a coaching plan. Those rules form part of these terms.

The platform is built for students in Class 6 to 12 and for undergraduate entrance preparation. Anyone may browse the directory; an account is needed to take tests or earn rewards.

If you are under 18, you may use the platform only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. Payments and withdrawals must be made by, or with the permission of, an adult.

One person, one account. Duplicate accounts created to collect rewards more than once will be closed and their balances forfeited.

You need an account to take a test, and it belongs to one person. Attempts, scores and analytics are recorded against it, so sharing it makes your own reports meaningless and can result in the account being suspended.

Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from a signed-in session is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think your account has been used by somebody else.

Give us accurate details. Your name, mobile number and class are used to verify cashback claims and to pay withdrawals, and a claim or withdrawal in a name that does not match will be refused.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Results already generated are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

A test begins when you start it, and the finish time is fixed at that moment on our servers. Closing the app, losing your connection or switching devices does not pause the clock.

Answers are saved as you go. If a save cannot reach us it is kept on your device and retried, but you should not rely on that as a substitute for a working connection. A test attempted on a poor connection is still your attempt.

When the time runs out the paper is submitted automatically and scored against the answer key. Scores, percentages, ranks and leaderboard positions are final once submitted; we do not re-open or re-score an attempt except to correct an error in a question, in which case every affected attempt is re-scored the same way.

A pass may limit how many tests, or how many attempts of one test, you can take. The limits are shown on the plan before you buy.

Practice scores here are an aid to preparation. They are not a prediction of, and carry no weight in, any board, entrance or competitive examination.

These are practice examinations, and their only value is that the score means something. Do not attempt to extract question papers or answer keys, automate attempts, take a test on behalf of somebody else, or use another person's account.

Question papers, solutions, explanations and analytics on this platform are ours or our licensors'. You may use them for your own preparation. You may not copy, screenshot in bulk, republish, resell or redistribute them, in whole or in part, or use them to train another service.

Do not probe, scan or overload the platform, attempt to bypass a pass, or interfere with another student's use of it.

We may suspend or close an account we have reason to believe is being used to copy content, to manipulate scores or leaderboards, or to obtain rewards it is not entitled to. Where money has been paid out on the strength of such conduct we may recover it.

A pass gives access to the tests it covers for the number of days shown on the plan, counted from the moment it is activated. Prices are in Indian rupees, include any discount that applies at the time of purchase, and include applicable taxes unless the plan says otherwise.

Payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway. Card, UPI and net-banking credentials are entered on the gateway and are never seen by, or stored on, this platform.

Access is granted only after the gateway confirms the payment to our servers. Occasionally that confirmation lags by a few minutes; if it has not arrived within a day, contact us with the payment reference.

A free pass or a promotional activation is a licence, not a purchase, and may be withdrawn if the promotion ends or the terms of the promotion were not met.

A pass is personal to your account and cannot be transferred, shared or resold. Coupons apply only to the plans they name and cannot be exchanged for cash.

If you were charged and the pass did not activate, contact us within 7 days with the payment reference and we will either activate it or refund it in full.

A pass that has been activated but not yet used to start any test may be cancelled within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund.

Once a test has been started under a pass, the pass is considered used. Refund requests after that point are considered case by case; write to us and explain what happened.

A duplicate payment for the same pass is refunded automatically once we notice it, or on request.

Refunds are returned to the method the payment was made with, normally within 7 working days of approval. The time it takes to appear is set by your bank or wallet provider, not by us.

Coaching bookings follow the cancellation window shown on the plan. A session missed without cancelling is not refundable.

We list entrance exams, board exams and scholarships as a directory. We are not the conducting body or the awarding body, we do not process applications, and we do not receive your application form or documents. You apply on the provider's own website.

Listings are compiled from published notifications and can go out of date. Always confirm dates, eligibility, fees and syllabus on the official notification before acting on them. We are not responsible for a deadline missed or a fee paid on the strength of a listing here.

Nothing in a listing is a promise that you are eligible for an exam or an award, or that you will receive one.

Some exams and colleges in the directory are marked as paying cashback. To earn it you must open the application through the link we provide, complete the application and pay the fee on the provider's site, then come back and enter your application number. Opening the link is not itself a qualifying event.

Where a coupon code is shown, it must be entered on the provider's form. An application made without it cannot be attributed to us and no cashback is due.

Cashback is credited to your wallet only after we have verified the application with the provider and received our commission. That can take several weeks after the application window closes. A claim with an application number we cannot verify is rejected, and the reason is shown on your wallet screen.

The cashback amount is the one shown on the exam page at the time you applied. It may be a fixed sum or a percentage of the fee, and we may change it for future applications at any time.

One cashback per person per exam. Duplicate claims, claims for somebody else's application, and applications that are later withdrawn or refunded by the provider do not qualify, and any credit already made is reversed.

Every account has a referral code. When a friend creates an account with your code and later earns cashback on an application, you receive a referral reward: a percentage of the commission we earn on that application, at the rate shown on the Refer and Earn screen when the application was made.

A referral is recorded once, at sign-up, and cannot be added or changed afterwards. You cannot refer yourself, and accounts created only to claim referral rewards are closed and their balances forfeited.

Referral rewards are credited when the friend's cashback is approved and are reversed if that cashback is reversed.

Sharing your code is fine. Spamming it, buying advertising against our name, or presenting yourself as ExamIdea is not, and will end your participation.

Cashback and referral rewards are credited to a wallet attached to your account. The wallet is a record of what we owe you; it is not a bank account, does not earn interest, and cannot be transferred to another user.

Wallet balance can be used against pass purchases on the platform. It can also be withdrawn to your own bank account or UPI id once the balance reaches the minimum shown on the wallet screen, where the withdrawal facility is switched on.

To withdraw, you give us the account holder's name and either a bank account number with IFSC or a UPI id. The name must match the name on your account. The amount is held from your wallet when you request it and paid by bank transfer, normally within 7 working days. A request we cannot pay is returned to your wallet with the reason.

We may withhold or reverse credits and withdrawals where we find duplicate accounts, fabricated application numbers, chargebacks, or any other attempt to game the scheme, and we may report fraud to the authorities.

A wallet balance that has not been used or withdrawn for 24 months after the account's last activity may be forfeited after we have written to the email address on the account.

Coaching connects you with independent teachers who set their own plans, schedules and prices. When you book, the teacher is responsible for delivering the session and we collect the fee and pass on the teacher's share.

Sessions are held online at the time booked. Be on time; a session missed without cancelling within the plan's cancellation window is charged in full.

If a teacher does not turn up or the session cannot go ahead for a reason on our side, you are entitled to a rebooking or a refund. Raise it through the dispute option on the booking within 48 hours.

Teachers are not our employees. We check the documents they submit but we do not guarantee the quality or outcome of any session.

The app is licensed to you for personal use on devices you own or control. Do not modify, reverse engineer or redistribute it.

With your permission the app sends notifications about tests, results, rewards and offers. You can turn them off in your device settings at any time.

The app needs an internet connection. Mobile data charges are yours.

Everything on the platform that is not yours, including question papers, explanations, analytics, the directory, the design and the software, belongs to ExamIdea or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.

Exam names, board names and college names belong to their owners. Their use here is for identification only and implies no affiliation or endorsement.

If you send us feedback, a question correction or a suggestion, you allow us to use it without obligation to you.

If you believe content on the platform infringes your rights, write to us with details and we will look into it promptly.

We provide the platform as it is. We do not promise that it will be free of errors, that a question or answer key is free of mistakes, or that it will be available at any particular time.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, including a missed application, a missed exam date or a lost opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

You can stop using the platform and close your account at any time. A pass with time left on it is not refunded on voluntary closure except as set out under Refunds.

We may suspend or close your account, and cancel any pass or reward, if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we withdraw the service. Where we withdraw the service we will refund the unused part of a paid pass.

Sections that by their nature should survive closure, including Content, Our responsibility and Governing law, continue to apply.

We work to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, upgrades and faults happen. Where a test is interrupted by a fault on our side we will restore the attempt or allow a fresh one.

We may add, change or withdraw features, tests, exams, rewards and content. Where a change materially affects a pass you have already paid for, we will tell you and, if you prefer, refund the unused part.

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page is the date of the version you are reading; continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes are announced on the platform before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have as a consumer, the courts of the city in which ExamIdea is registered have exclusive jurisdiction.
